One of the only place to have a decent coffee in Manchester ;)

If you’ve never been to Brasserie Gerard, it’s very similar to Café Rouge in both atmosphere and menu(identical in fact). It’s your typical French chain restaurant –plenty of cheese, garlicky prawns and skinny chips. The food itself was nice enough, but the service was very slow(though friendly enough). Fine if you’re on a good date, not so good for a quick lunch.

I quite like this Caffe Nero for its interior, especially the huge leather armchairs by the window. There is some outdoor seating outside, as well, so in general it is a good place to have your cup of coffee. And you can watch the BBC building, hence this Nero is very cool… but you will have a problem watching the Beeb, thanks to the buses, cars, taxis, and people passing by all at once. This Nero is best for a charged or focused discussion, but hardly for a chilled-out chat.
