After a rather negative review a year ago now, I decided to call back to Clarks, having been a fan of the company for their wide fitting shoes, and I decided to use this store in particular,(inside Sainsbury’s Heaton Park) as it is my local store and I just planned to pick up an order. This store is quite small, but still they seem to have a good sized back room with a good amount of shoes, and of course you have your measuring«ipads» for children and a small selection of shoes for men, women and kids here. The staff are pretty poor, and it was a long process trying to communicate before my trip here, over the phone, I gave them my full name, to the point where I even spelt it out, and she couldn’t find my order. Why? She was looking under the wrong name. This is one of the main reasons I feel that 3 stars is not yet possible. She did help recommend how the shoes fitted, and I ended up settling for a totally different pair all together, which cost £70, but as I am hard to buy shoes for, I felt they were good quality and it was worth paying that, as they looked like they could last for the foreseeable future, and they even came in a nice box, which shows Clarks’ legacy of being founded in 1825, I was slightly unhappy to pay £70 at first, but with my «half size» not being available elsewhere, I decided to just buy my shoes online from Clarks, I would always recommend looking elsewhere, and getting your shoes name, because some sizes here were £30 cheaper, at the likes of rubber sole(online retailer) This is a nice store, but a smaller store compared to Clarks’ standards, so you might be inches away from running children while you try your shoes on, although it isn’t convenient, this is still a nice store to use the click and collect service for, but with a smaller selection and poor range of staff, I would recommend visiting a large store if you have not ordered online, try Market Street Manchester for example.
