I had lunch here with a friend today £10 off voucher via vouchercloud I had the Mac and jack burger with fries and coleslaw, all I can say it was 100% pure fitness. My friend had spaghetti carbonara, this lookecok but had some big clumps of pasta innit. The deep fried Mac and cheese ball on top of the beef burger was immense.

Decided to eat at frankie & bennys, not a great start We waited a while for a booth. waited fifteen minutes for our drinks, from waiter Josh. Then he disappeared another waiter arrived called Marlon who took our food order. Mine was cold they did offer to make it again but felt I waited ages and told them I was starving. They did take it off the final bill and also got free drinks after we paid. Think they redeemed themselves.

Not a great start the waiter introduced him self(josh I’ll be serving you tonight not) took our order for drinks and never returned. Took 20 minutes. However another waiter called Marlon saved the day. We were looked after from then on. One of the meals arrived cold but they dealt with that cause they took it of the bill then we received a free drink at the end of our meal. All well that ends well. Look out for Marlon he’ll look after you very polite and very efficient.

F&B has always been a firm favourite of mine but I’ve only ever done evening meals and only ever the one in Salford. Looking for the perfect place to get a breakfast this morning and my phone told me to come here and I’m so glad we did. Amazing food, the waiter was a real star very friendly and personable what can I say. Oh and unlimited brews? Heaven! Fast service, left alone to eat and stingy portion control doesn’t seem to apply here which is always a bonus. Thanks for having us :-)

Relaxed, comfortable atmosphere — you can sink into the padded booths & not worry about over-fussy servers whipping your plates away the second you put the fork down. The music & décor are well executed(you can buy the soundtrack CD if you so wish), and the pictchers of cocktails are pretty good. If you can handle a big feed at lunchtime, this is when you’ll get the best value(3 courses for £8.95 up until 5pm), otherwise the all-day menu is still pretty good(2 courses for £9.95, but limited menu). If you just fancy a light bite, grab a couple of friends & get the sample platter — something for everyone, though you’ll probably be fighting over the chicken wings. Yes it’s a chain store, and no, it’s not organic/locally sourced produce… but it knows its strengths & does them well.

HOWSMALL! When you first step in to this establishment you are seriously fooled in to a false sense of space security with the first table and the front of house bar, as the waiter leads you up the first few steps you realise you’ve been duped, lots of tiny tables crammed in to tiny space, evil! It’s like Sunday dinner at a busy relative’s house all over again. Food prices depend on what time of day you go. If you go and are expected to be seated and ordered before 5 on Monday to Friday, then it’s the lunch menu for me, with one course at £5.95, and two at £7.95, and three at £8.95, soft drinks are £1.95 with free refills, so that’s totally bargain city, as most of the mains on there retail at the £10plus mark when not on the lunch menu. The breakfast menu is also a steal, at the moment the promotion is two breakfasts for £10, doesn’t matter which breakfast you order as long as it’s not the steak one, and you can have your refill of coffee or juice, all for what works out at £5 per head. Yes I agree with the other guys, it’s incredibly tacky in that American Italian way, but that’s all part of the charm, and just like them I love it too, I’d just prefer it if there was a little more elbow room, when it’s busy in there, it’s busy, especially on any sort of show night, and holy hell, getting up and moving about is not really an option.

It’s not a very Indie thing to like, I know. But I love Frankie and Benny’s! The combination of hearty American Italian food and feel-good fifties music is a real winner that never fails to lure me in. In keeping with the sweet Fifties soundtrack, you’ll find the place has a real diner feel, with a cute black and white tiled floor, retro red stools to perch on and vintage ‘family’ photos on the wall. The menu, also plastered with black and white photographs, isn’t overly complicated. But it’s very tasty! Think burgers, pastas, steaks and thick ice cream sundaes that you can get lost in! You might have to wait to get a table here, but when you’re perched by the old-school bar with a tasty milkshake in your hand and cool tunes by Bobby Darin, Sinatra et al to sing along to, who cares? My only gripe is that this place can be a little expensive. The food isn’t great for what it costs, but I guess you’re paying for the whole experience here! So, yes, I know I’m a real sucker for falling for a contrived chain restaurant like this. But, until Manchester gets a real diner with singing waitresses on roller skates serving huge slices of pie, Frankie and Benny’s in the next best thing!

I’m really sorry but I just really like Frankie and Benny’s. I know that it’s predictable, and that these chain restaurants are sapping the soul out of dining to a certain extent. But I like Frankie and Benny’s, I just do. The food is hot and tasty. The Manhattan Burger is a real favourite of mine, at £11.35 it’s a touch expensive but it’s a filling dinner. Two burgers in one, loads of meat! The whole faux Italian New York thing is a tiny bit tacky, but then the photos do provide something interesting to look at when your other half has popped to the bathroom.

Frankie and Bennys, this takes me back to 15 year old stints at the cinema in the local retail park followed by a sesh in the old skwl favourite. New York style Italian so when you think of franky think of the god father and when you think of benny maybe scarface? Stereotypes of Italian Americans as knee capping, swimming with the fishes gangsters so on and so forth. Ironically Frankie and Bennys is all about the families and kids are very well catered for with packs to mess around with and free portions of salads and stuff. I’ve always been a fan of this place, the food is nice the staff typically cheerful and service swift. Prices are reasonable with a main costing you about 6 quid. Don’t complain though otherwise they may give you the kiss of death.

Frankie and Benny’s is a family favourite in our house! The menu is really varied and tasty. The kids get free portions of veg or salad. They are given kid spacks when they arrive to keep them entertained. The staff are geared up to families and large groups so we usually receive our food very quickly. The goats cheese garlic bread is to die for! We also go for lunch from work which is great value and fast service. gREAT!

I love frankie & Benny’s. There food is lovely, I always get a big burger, you really couldnt get anything else! We always take our daughter here with us as the kids meals are also reasonably priced, and there is always a relaxed atmosphere! I also tend to eat at the one in the Trafford Centre rather than anywhere else just as its easy to get to! for anyone who has never been before, and likes the american diner thing then i would say definatly go asap!

I’ve always been a fan of Frankie and Benny’s, and think most of the food is delicious. Beware of ordering a Caesar Salad, however. I paid £5.95 for a plain salad(because I didn’t specify chicken); it came with 3 —(yes 3!) small croutons, what seemed like a teaspoon of dressing, and was mostly lettuce. That would be my only complaint — on the other occasions I’ve been there the food has been fantastic and not too overpriced — especially the puddings and breakfasts, and the service can’t be faulted. For lunchtimes it definitely pays to get here early — it can be very busy and you can sometimes wit forever for a table!

Went here earlier this year as part of a small hen party — they fit us in just in time before the rush. Food was lovely, nice menu, not too expensive, good portions — just enough. Great service, would definatly go again

Not just a place where the wiseguys can indulge in their Goodfellas fantasies, this place is more than a stereotypical jaunt into Italian-American cuisine. Think a more upmarket version of Little Chef quick, easy to choose from with a good selection of Italian dishes thrown in. Plenty of choice if you’re hungry and require a calorie-rich fix. If you’re Italian you’ll no doubt be impressed with the homage on the walls of various Italian-American greats like Joe Di Maggio and you’ll probably think one day you too will do something great to get you up on that wall. Guaranteed you’ll think that whilst stuffing a piece of barbecue chicken in your mouth. No thrills, but plenty of choice.

Excellent staff. I’ve always been here on large group nights out and the service really stood out every time. Food’s great, reliable in that you know what you’re getting. Particularly love the desert menu if you can make it to that as portions are generous and filling. Really rate the burgers and pizzas for taste and quality.

I love this place, Frankie and Benny’s s has a great family atmosphere, and always make you feel welcome, service is always with a smile and the food is fantastic, you never have to wait long to recieve your meal, I do prefer the one at Salford Quays, to the one in Altrincham though, my own personal prefrence a little furter for us to travel but worth it. an all round good Italian Family Restaurant.

Frankie and Bennys is a lovely restaurant. There is always a lovely warm atmosphere, whether you jusy want a few drinks — i recommend the cocktails personally, or a nice meal, F&Bs offers both. The place is set out in an Italian American style, with music like Sam Cooke and the Everly Brothers playing in th background. The menu is reasonably priced and lunch-time specials menu is also offered thorugh the week. Childeren are welcome, a childrens menu is also available with free colouring set. Overall, the staff are very helpful and friendly, Its a lovely place to go with the family, or a partner, when you fancy a nice meal out, but dont want anything too fussy. I would recommend this place to anyone, and am a frequent customer!

Frankie and Bennys is a pleasantly upholstered pizza place just off St Anne’s Square. The décor is retro in a kind of very un-authentic way, think along the lines of the diner in Happy Days perhaps. But Frankie and Bennie’s is not attempting to be über-cool. It is a friendly and welcoming restaurant that families will enjoy as it provides a better quality of food than say McDonalds but will not break the budget. The atmosphere is upbeat and the staff are always friendly. The selection of pizzas and burgers is enough to keep most people happy.
