I’m not a massive F&B fan but whenever I have a morning flight from T2, I always, without fail, come here to have breakfast. It’s part of my holiday routine. I have had a few different options, always sweet as I just don’t do savoury breakfasts. Usually I travel alone, as most of my holidays are just for visiting people than going away with a group of friends, however, on my last visit — nearly 4 weeks ago now, sob sob — I was flying with friends and one of them joined me for brekkie, so I do have some feedback on the savoury now too! Having never had breakfast in a ‘normal’ F&B’s, I can’t rightly compare it but I imagine it’s a pretty standard offering/standard. Never had any complaints with the toast or pastries. I’ve also had pancakes, and one occasion I asked for them with maple syrup but without the bacon, but arrived at my table with bacon. I don’t get the maple syrup/bacon combo at the best of times, let alone at breakfast. As I had arrived at the airport later than planned, and didn’t have that long til my flight opened, I just took the bacon off. On my last visit, I had the french toast, which was advertised as coming with fruit. I specifically asked the waitress if this included banana. She said she didn’t know so I asked her to put a note on my order to exclude it if it is included. Disappointingly, when it arrived there was banana. It’s not like with the bacon, that I was happy to just take it off, as banana is my most hated food. I have an actual phobia of it and it makes me feel ill to have it on my plate. It took over 5 minutes for them to correct the mistake which was annoying, and by this time, my friend had finished his brekkie. When the correct order did come, however, it was delicious and I polished it off. My friend had eggs, bacon, beans and some other savoury stuff that I forget. He polished it off so must have been nice. I always have tea to drink — even I don’t drink at 6−7am, unless I’m still out from the night before — and have had the white tea, green tea and camomile tea. My friend had coffee and whilst not award winning, it did the job coffee is meant to do. F&Bs is a good option. Not award winning but the breakfast really does hit the spot and will set you off nicely for your holiday.

One of the best options for breakfast at Terminal 2. Scrambled eggs particularly good.

Good value and broad selection. Much more relaxed than other airport cafés or restaurants.
