Everyone knows about Greggs, but you all need to know that in recent months the illusive Gregg has stepped it up a gear yet again in hisbattle to dominate the Bakery World of this country. Hmm Bakery World… is that another word for heaven? This latest development is the breakfast and coffee revolution. Bacon or sausage or bacon and sausage baps with a layer of ketchup of brown sauce are £2! With a coffee of your choice! The sausages and bacon are actually nice and the bap is a lovely soft white squidgy delicious joy. For £2. Ridiculous. Cheers Gregg.

Greggs never fail the hungry! I live for the chicken/pepperoni or cheese and tomato pizza for £1.05, its perfect when you’re just a little hungry either early or late afternoon and then finish it off with a white chocolate chip cookie! Other than that, greggs is just your everyday life saving ‘fastest’ food service.

This branch of greggs is very friendly and has very good staff. Its the cheapest place to get lunch especially if you are eating out everyday. The choice of food like sandwiches, donughts, cakes, pasties etc is good and you get drinks and crisps as well from the shop. The best i like from greggs is their Mexican chicken sandwich and their donughts are already famous. They also keep on brining more varieties evrytime. Recently they have brouht the chicken bake which is very delicious and the price is very reasonable as well. I like to have food on the go from greggs.

Where else are you going to get gingerbread men from these days? Why Greggs of course! Pies, sausage rolls(which I admittedly have a soft spot forthey’re very ‘morish’ aren’t they?), cakes and bunsit’s a bit of a naughty place but as long as you don’t subsist only on Greggs products you’ll be alright! There are superior, independent bakers around(Greggs are a large franchise) although not one I know of in Withington. The staff in this branch are excellent — friendliest folk around for miles and also have their finger on the pulse of local community gossip and titbits(you don’t get that in Tescobury’s). Despite being a very busy branch, the manageress runs the place exceedingly well — polite and efficient to the fairy cake hilt. I like how in Greggs(and I guess most bakers) you’re always warned about the food being ‘piping hot’ — and they usually always are(you can of course await the next batch of hot pastries should you so desire). Is it me or are the Gingerbread men getting rather too obese these daysin my childhood they were stick thin and lanky — Cary Grant rather than todays Russel Grant.
