If I’m eating out with the right kind of people(ie. not greedy ones), I love tapas. And you can’t really go wrong with La Tasca. This branch is on two floors, each with an outdoor sun terrace. So it’s a nice place to visit on a sunny day. The location is great, too. It’s just set back from the bustle of Didsbury’s Wilmslow Road, which makes it both easy to get to and rather calming. La Tasca has a huge range of Spanish tapas dishes, from crisp salads to paella. There are lots of veggie options and, if you’re not sure which or how many dishes to pick, the staff are always happy to make recommendations for you. They’re very efficient, too. The service is good and they bring your dishes out quickly. I like the drinks menu here, as it features a nice selection of Spanish beers, wines and spirits at a pretty reasonable price. I nearly always order the Sangria, though — it makes me feel really summery! Another good thing about La Tasca is that you can nearly always find a voucher or two floating around the Internet. Whether offering 50% off or a selected number of dishes for a tenner, they make eating out here very affordable.

La Tasca in Didsbury is not half bad for a chain restaurant. In fact, I quite like it. Mediterranean décor and Spanish tiles provide a warm welcoming atmosphere. Spanish music adds to the authenticity without it becoming too cliched and the food is consistently good. We tend to go for Tapas. Noteworthy dishes include Chorizo Frito al Vino(Spanish sausage in red wine and herbs) and Albóndigas a la Jardinera(meatballs in tomato sauce). The lively fiesta atmosphere makes this a great venue for after-work drinks or meeting friends. It’s also good for late evening suppers. Look out for special offers and events. Current promotions include a rather tasty ‘lunch for two for £10′ deal. Make sure you leave yourself enough time for a glass of wine or two.

This La Tasca in Didsbury is unfortunately no better than its Deansgate counterpart. Despite my hatred for the Deansgate branch, myself and my friends decided to give La Tasca Didsbury a try because of the deals they do for parties. They offered a deal for large groups that would work out at only £10 per head for the food. Not bad. We proceeded to arrange to spend my friend’s birthday at La Tasca. Though we didn’t really expect high quality food due to our experiences at other La Tascas, we thought it would do for a nice sharing meal before we all went out. They had assured us that there would be plenty of food. In fact, the portions were extremely meagre, and though the list of Tapas dishes that we were to receive included some exciting ones, what we actually received was very different. We received quite a lot of bread and the cheaper tapas such as the chicken wings, which weren’t very nice, and almost none of the nicer tapas that we had been promised as part of the deal. About five people were expected to share a small portion of chorizo. Woe.

I’ve visited a few La Tascas before but this was the first time I’ve been to the Didsbury one. I was with a group of eight people and we were offered the party menu which is a set menu with about 10 dishes on, but a few people wanted to pick their own so we went for the regular menu. I had some serrano ham, which was a bit dry; some chicken skewers, which were a bit dry, and some deep fried fish, which was a bit dry, think you’re getting the message here The patatas bravas(the chips of tapas) were ok and I had a side salad of rocket, avacado and onion which was alright as well but it’s by no means the best meal I’ve ever had If you want good tapas at a reasonable price, try the far superior Casa Tapas over the road!

Good atmosphere and nice décor but seriously lacking in the quality of the food, and although perhaps a one off, the service was poor for us. Seemed to be seriously under-staffed for a busy saturday night. The food is obviously ‘chain restaurant food’ and although not horrible was nothing special for a relatively hefty price tag. If you take advantage of one of their many special offers you can get good value though Particularly disappointing for me was the ‘Churos’ a spanish desert that is supposed to be light freshly cooked donut strips. Took about half an hour to come(a good twenty minutes after the first desert arrived) and tasted as if it was cooked in the same oil as the fish and potato is fried in. If you want good Tapas I would really recommend smaller owner run places such as ‘Pinchjo’s’ in West Didsbury, or I forget the name but there’s a pretty good place on Wilmslow Road in the centre of DIdsbury as well

I love La Tasca & this one has a great atmosphere & the staff are really friendly. It’s loads fun especially if you go with a group of friends. The food is delicious & not too expensive. When we went they had a great deal of called ’ Tapas for a tenner’ As I’d never really had tapas before it was a good way of trying different different food. Everything I tried I liked. The staff are really helpful & offer suggestions & keep on top of the order. Service was good & fast. Overall the food wasn;t too expensive but some of the drinks were overpriced. Has a decent sized car park & if you can’t find a space there there’s plenty of parking nearby. Great place for friendly, lively meal out with friends.

I love this place– La Tasca in Didsbury has a really friendly and relaxed atmosphere and is furnished like a Spanish taverna. It has a wide range of well priced food including fish, meat and vegetable dishes. My favourite dish is meatballs in tomato sauce– yum! The staff are always really helpful and polite and the place is clean.

Nice atmosphere and nice building — especially great on Summers evenings when you can sit upstairs on the balcony. Tapas food menu is extensive and the food is always nice. Good waitress service and reasonably priced. Ideal location for night out.

Stepping off the cold, dreary streets of Manchester and into La Tasca you’d be forgiven for thinking you had stumbled across a parallel universe. With the warm atmosphere coming not just from the heating system but from the staff you are being treated with a genuine feel for the Spanish lifestyle. Having spent a year in Spain it does not completely compare with the real thing, but it has a jolly good go. The(often Spanish) staff maintain the laidback latino attitude, meaning that chatting over a cool glass of Rioja is often the best policy. While selecting from the vast range of tapas may mean that the«cuenta» adds up fairly quickly, the«Tapas for a Tenner» offer, running everyday except for Friday and Saturday evenings, is a bargain, allowing you to pick and choose from a great selection. The Spanish way is to have them all in the centre of the table and share with everybody, and for the true experience, don’t leave without trying their Chorizo Frito al Vino(spicy sausage cooked in red wine), Selección de Embutidos(cured meats) or Calamares Andaluza(deep fried squid), all of which will provide you with a genuine feel for the country.

La Tascas is a spanish Resturant located in Disbury Village, and oh my gosh is it good! The tapas are very reasonable ranging from a couple of pounds and rarely over £5, i would strongly advised the baby roasties in salsa sauce, and the chicken pollo which is chicken in batter with Garlic sauce, this is amazing and with a few glass of the spanish wine and the candlelight surroundings, when you are in the resturant you will feel like you are truely in Spain.
