Wow, strange is the day I update a review as soon as I have put my fork down ! But I have too!
Lei Young has been a staple take away of this area for a large number of years and has in the last year had a large refit to my knowledge in the kitchen and prep area. But today I feel that a refit in furniture has done disaster for the food. Today I have been left dissapoinged and thinking why did I bother !
After a long few weeks /​months I’m having a bit of a cheat meal after a long day. So I ordered salt and pepper chicken wings which were very very greasy as well as lacking a large sum of flavour.
Followed by a special chow mein. Yet this could have been a 99p dehydrated chow mein from a super market. It was lifeless limb and very boring. What a shame as this used to be a great little place for a treat tea and now it seems to have wasted away

I find the food here to be greasy and of quite poor quality. I’ve had chow mein and sweet & sour on the two occasions I’ve ordered from here, both times at the weekend. Perhaps in quieter periods the standard is better, but for now I always choose elsewhere.
