Stopped in for casual quick dinner. Will pass next time. Got wings(good), scampi(fried unidentifiable items) and nachos(pile of chips w/piles of salsa, guaq, sour cream) PASS… A self serve restaurant w/a bar, not sure I appreciate the style. Surprised you don’t pick up your food w/a buzzer on your table. Not my best choice on this trip to Manchester.

First visit here yesterday for lunch. Outside patio upstairs is gorgeous little sun trap… not too many tables so we had to sit on a tiny table until some people left… people always leaving during lunch hour though so we didnt have to wait long. Chicken and chips and wine for less than £10 cannot be frowned upon. Staff were friendly enough. Just generally a nice place to chill after the stresses of work.

Oh I haven’t written a review for this place? Can’t imagine why. Okay this place is always where I start the night pretty much. it a like a Slug and Lettuce place but more swish. The white leather sofas make this place feel very pimped out with the swish bar to match. Not to sound like an alcoholic but this is another haunt of mine where I am happy to grab a cheeky bite to eat or cocktail by myself. The majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful and have always served me like a queen. The food is not stand outish, it offers the usual burger, smothered chicken, nachos and pub classics for reasonable cost… This is just ideal place to meet people as its busy but you can always find a place to sit and hear one another. Overall a good swish bar, which is ideal for cheeky cheap cocktails on the go. I’m rating this place highly mainly for the atmosphere and cheap cocktails rather than for its food.

We’ve recently moved office, and Missoula is serving as our new after work watering hole. It’s quite a step up from the old one(a certain Australian themed pub) and so far is treating us well. We’ll deal with the important things first. well, two important things I suppose. The first is the Margarita selection. Now, I know that cocktails aren’t exactly top of the tree when it comes to drinks at the moment, but I do love a margarita, and will take one whatever way I can, and Missoula offers a pretty good selection; a good solid traditional, and a fuity selection for when I’m feeling a little non conformist. Secondly, they do Sierra Nevada IPA, possibly my favourite beer in the world. Anywhere that sells this excellent brew is all OK in my book(althoug they alto have some other IPAs and craft beers). Other than those(at least in my world view) the selection of drinks is pretty standard. The food is what you would expect of a pub from the same group as the Slug and Lettuce — solid, but nothing amazing. What is worth having a look at are the hanging kebabs — they’re almost exactly the same as the ones at the Oast House, but a little cheaper and just as good; go for the garlic butter if you get one. I know that there are a few reasons that people don’t like this sort of place — they feel like it’s a bit soul-less, and I can kind-of see the point, but there are a lot of good reasons to go, especially the Margaritas!

Nice. Quiet in the morning. Good for meeting with friends for a chat or just relax. Reasonable English breakfast. No decaf coffee served.
