I’m surprised this place hasn’t been reviewed in so long, it’s absolutely fantastic. A very small restaurant up what must be one of the last original cobbled streets in the area, No. 4 Dine and Wine offers a really intimate setting for a delicious meal. There was 6 in our group so we were seated upstairs where they have extra seating. The staff were all super friendly and you could actually hear everyone talk which makes a change(God I must be getting old). I went for the duck wontons to start, lamp shank for my main and sticky toffee pudding for dessert(January diet sorry what?!). All courses were great and I can’t really fault aside from the parsnips being a little under done! Perhaps a little on the pricier side but I’d definitely recommend you this place out, maybe for a special occasion or something. Book in advance to avoid disappointment!

We have eaten there twice with my partner. The first time was fantastic: the food was great, affordable and the atmosphere is friendly and warm. On the second time, my partner went with a broken jaw and the staff were as helpful as possible to accommodate that, I really recommend this hearty place

I went there last year and am really impressed with the restaurant. Food tastes so fresh and open kitchen is very nice as we can see how chef prepares for the food. I had three course menu, and they were awesome! I think they tend to use local products, so tastes really fresh and could feel they use very good ingredents. If you want to take your partner out, good place to go with joy!

A lovely lovely place for so many tasty things. I like to go here for midweek evenings(special offer menu is great value at £13.95 for 3 courses), weekend evenings(a bit pricier when going for the a la carte — mains around £10−16) and Sunday lunch(again, a bargain at £13.95). When you go here it’s cosy but modern — a bit like stepping into your front room but there are dining tables and you don’t have to do the washing up. The staff are friendly and when you get a tomato juice they bring it on a tray. How posh. I’m yet to be let down by this place, either on mains or dessert(the key component to a meal if ever there was one). Plus, I believe they make their own little boxes of chocolates should you wish to purchase such a thing. Very cute.
