This asian supermarket is a brilliant place to go for a student where you can buy lots of things in huge quantities from rice to pasta to cooking oil. They also have a fresh butchery to the right of the store so definitely worth getting some fresh pork/halal meat/lamb/beef etc. The interior is rather dingy and can sometimes seem very disorganised and out-of-date but for a deal on certain things, definitely worth a visit. However, for a full shop, I prefer the LIDL and the Tesco only just up the road.

Ravi and Wazi strike me as evil twins, or possibly clones, because they’re both practically identical. Ethnic corner shops with an array of fruit and veg outside, eclectic food selection within. Neither one is better or worse than the other, so I’ll give them both four stars. See my review of Wazi Food Stores for more details.

Another jam packed corner shop. This food store struggles to offer you enough crap as you enter. Ravi food store arch nemesis to wazi food store(in my mind at least) is again run by the same folk day in day out. I can imagine coming back here in 30 years time and just picking up what I want and leaving my change on top of the coffin behind the counter. Narr but seriously ravi is a choice corner store with everything you could want to get your mitts on, sweets, cans of soup and fresh fruit galore.

World wide superstore is an asian supermarket. YOu get all types of hebs, spices, dal, rice, flour atc in this store. The prices are also reasonable making it the best place for shopping. There is always a fresh stack of dil, methi, spinach, corainader etc and they are placed on offer at 3 or 2 for 99p many a times. Frozen food is also much cheaper than the big supermarkets. Bags of rice, onions, flour etc are better bought in 10 or 20 or more kgs as they then are cheaper to buy. Overall a very good place for grocery shopping.
