I’ve had my hair cut and coloured about 5 times with Skills Solutions over the past 3 years and every time I have been extremely happy. For £15 you can get a cut, colour & blow dry or for £10 just a cut and blow dry. There have been times where a student has attacked my hair to the point where I think the damage is going to be irreversible, but then a senior sylist comes along and gives them great advice or takes over until the job is done to the highest spec. I had a haircut and colour here that took longer than the allocated afternoon — they wouldn’t let me go until I was perfectly satisfied. I’ve also had many different re-​styles (some have been quite daring and radical) and the stylist has always managed to match the look I was going for to suit my hair type. Having paid full-​price in other places and been very disappointed I highly recommend this place: D
The mild downside is that they are only open Mon-​Wed and appointments are either morning or afternoon sessions (starting at 9am or 1pm and finishing around 12noon or 5pm). I usually phone one or two weeks in advance and get an appointment easily. If you wish to get colour you need to pop in when they are open and pay £1 for a skin test kit to apply at least 48 hours before your appointment — easy and cheap!
