The Old Grapes

I love the Grapes.
I work in Spinningfields and this is a regular lunchtime and after work haunt. It is a traditional pub rather than a bar.
At lunchtimes, they serve very reasonably priced food. Typical pub food. I often have the beef and onion sandwich, but the other day branched out and had the fish finger sandwich. I’ve also enjoyed the roast chicken salad, chips and tuna sandwich and all are good. The portions are a good size.
After work I have spent many a time here drinking. The drink is very well priced, especially considering it is in Spinningfields.
The crowd here after work is a real mix — older, younger, professionals, you name a ‘type’ and you’ll find them here. I’ve never seen any problems here in terms of fights and have been coming for over 6 years.
It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but personally it is one of my most regular places. Everyone who lives or works in the city centre should definitely check it out, if they haven’t been already.
