This WHsmith is located in T1 Arrivals, T1 is probably the best for Arrivals facilities.
This store is a good size with a good selection of drinks and newspapers, they even stocked rare iced tea flavours like Raspberry and Mango and some of the Urban Eat wraps, however not the gluten free ones.
They also have a small selection of books.
They is a small checkout, where my problem arose. My drink should of been £3 for 2 or £1.99 each hence I bought 2 with my Euro Millions ticket and a i paper, I used my coupon so it should of only cost £5 however she tried to charge me without the offer for 2 and she told me she could not amend the till to void the transaction hence she was being very stern that I had to pay through her mistake, she didn’t have a good understanding of english which resulted in me having to result in £5 and only get 1 drink, when I should of got 2. She didn’t give me a receipt which made me even more suspicous for me to notice she has still overcharged me when I looked at the price tag.
I feel WHsmith’s policy on voiding transactions was terrible and I feel she should of had a better knowledge of speaking english. I feel that she could of done something to charge me the right amount but just wanted to make it easy for herself, I left with just one drink and very annoyed and upset, when I should of left delighted as I had finally found the raspberry iced tea.
The staff and the Iced tea situation are the main reasons in my low pricing, if the issue with the staff and overpricing hadn’t rose, I would really of considered giving this place at least 3 stars so it is a shame really.

I was Manchester Airport waiting to board my flight to India and all I wanted was a good book to read on my way but I have to say I was not very impressed with their collection of books and magazines.
My verdict: Overpriced with a very limited selection of books!

This is actually a really well-​stocked book shop right in the middle of Manchester Airport Terminal 1. It’s in a separate shop to the normal WH Smith, meaning that people reading books don’t get in the way of those trying to grab a paper before they get on their plane.
There’s a really great selection of books, but unsurprisingly it does focus on those bestsellers that are everywhere. However, they’ve got al the sections you could need, like crime, horror, classics and every single one of the Twilight books if you need to keep your teenage daughter quiet for a good few hours.
