Windmill Carving Room

Cheap and cheerful good food. Where else can 2 people eat a main meal in a restaurant with an alcoholic drink for a total of £10?
Have been to the Windmill many times and the service can be a bit hit and miss depending on who’s working.
There are usually 3 joints of meat on the carvery as well as the option of fish, minced beef & onion pie, half roast chicken or sausages. Having had the carvery many times I decided to try the fish for a change. They cooked it freshly for me. I piled on the usual potatoes and vegetables. Couldn’t fault it, it was all delicious.
There’s currently some redecorating taking place, which will give the place a well deserved refresh. The Windmill would really earn 3 stars, but the extreme good value earns an extra star!
