This is a ok place to go for a drink, but not much atmosphere and the drinks are not the cheapest. The biggest problem I have with this place is the food, me and a friend ordered a Parmo, with the buy one get one free deal, the Parmo was awful, the«chicken» was basically like Bernard Matthews turkey burgers then cheese melted on top, total junk for the price you pay, it isn’t really BOGOF because the prices are double of a good parmo of the same size elsewhere. I’d go here for a quick drink, but nothing else. Also tends to have lots of screaming kids.

Clean pub and friendly staff, food is two for one and is really nice pub food I’ve heard they have a new chef but haven’t been since he started so hope the food is to the usual standard. Gets quite busy but overall a good pub. Its also Great for the kids because it’s got the wacky warehouse.

Quite a regular at this pub especially on a Thursday when they have a weekly quiz night, to enter the quiz its only 50p per person and every team gets a complimentary bowl of chips, I am a lager drinker and drink Carlsberg which is around £2.65 quite expensive really, it is quite clean inside and the toilets are reasonably clean as well, my only real criticism apart from the price of the lager is the food which to be fair isn’t very good at all, it’s virtually all buy one get one free but to be quite honest it’s still quite expensive at a half the cost for the quality of food you are getting I tend to just eat before leaving home now, when I’m going to the Coulby farm.

This is a very nice hotel and restaurant, a little out of the way on Stokesley Road in Hemlington. It’s not far from Coulby Newham, but as I say it is a bit out of the way, along a country road. However, it’s worth the trip if you want somewhere to take the children. The restaurant is pleasant and the food is reasonable. To be honest, though, the main attraction for me(well, for the kids) is the Wacky Warehouse. This is a brilliant play area for the children — a massive ball pit and climbing area, that keeps them occupied for ages. There’s a seating area for the grown ups so you can have a tea or coffee while you keep an eye on them. It’s not really suitable for letting the children play while you have a meal in the restaurant because the Wacky Warehouse section is out of sight, along a corridor. You couldn’t leave them unsupervised. However, it’s ok if you are happy to just sit with a coffee and a newspaper while the kids tire themselves out. It’s also a great place for children’s birthday parties. We’ve had our children’s parties here quite a few times because it’s just so easy to let them organise everything for you, and they get the stress instead of you! They have the play in the Wacky Warehouse, then go through to the main restaurant for the party meal. Which also means if any parents want to stay they can enjoy a meal themselves while the children are at the party — instead of sitting twiddling their thumbs like they might have to at some places!
