Debenhams has three entrances, either off the main road of shops opposite Topman, off the quieter site opposite House of Fraser or through the Hill street centre. This floor has men’s wear and the big names from the beauty industry such as Benefit, YSL, Lancôme and Dior. The girls on these counters in my opinion are very off putting and almost look down there noses at you. In the basement there is the concessions such as Topshop, Warehouse, Morgan, Faith, Jane Norman and Debenhams brand Red Herring. It is more for younger people down here and there’s usually a new out hit playing. If you want to try on it can be a bit of a wait down here. There is also a coffee shop on the top floor, home, children’s wear and more women’s wear suited for the older ladies as well as a sections where evening wear is with brands like Debut and Julian MacDonald’s Star range. This store is really good value at the moment as they are doing 25% off everything.

A large department store partially in the Hill Street Centre in Middlesbrough. It has a wide range of sections including cosmetics, menswear, ladies concessions, teenage fashion, childrenswear and homewear. There are several designers rangers running throughout the store including Jasper Conran, John Rocha and Matthew Williamson. I particulalry like the range of bags and the baby section. When Debenhams has a sale there are genuine reductions and bargains to be had so definitely worth a look around.

A huge shop with about five floors(I think!) There’s a basement floor with more teenage or younger fashion — there’s warehouse, topshop, as well as a big-ish shoe department which has the likes of faith shoes in it. The ground floor has the mens section, jewellery section and makeup section. There’s games as well here and some ladies hats and scarves. The first floor is ladies clothing and the second is houseware. The top floor has the restaurant and childrens department. It’s a nice store, I have yet to be dissapointed with it, there are often huge reductions towards sale time! It’s good to visit when the local warehouse store or topshop store has ran out of your size! The restaurant food is ok, fair prices but nothing special really. Just the usual soup, sausages, beans thing. It does serve an all day breakfast I think that’s promoted throughout the store. The staff here are really helpful and friendly they’ll chat with anyone any age about what they’re buying or what they’re up to and the makeup staff are really helpful and knowledgeable about their aimed product. Generally this is a very nice store, easily accesible from the main high street or the hill street centre.
