Absolutely loved it! The bar staff were very friendly, the service was good and I liked the staff being dressed in Austrailian cricket tops giving the place a nice Australian theme to it. The food menu was very varied and had some Australian dishes on the menu, which impressed me. The beer was of a reasonable price and I liked the big screens for the current sporting events. I’m giving the place a high mark because it was my first ever visit to the town and the first ever time I have had a drink in the town’s pubs and to be treated the way I was gave me great satisfaction!

Good place to start your night out, wouldn’t finish it there as they start charging club prices past about 9 on Friday and Saturday to get in and it is far from a club

Great on a quiet day but very roudy on a night. Coors Light on draught earns this place 3 stars.

I prefer this place during the day when you can go in and order food. They often have great food and drink deals on. It is quite sports oriented so you need to be prepared for that. On a night it changes and for me not for the best it gets very busy and loud and people get very drunk and loud and of course the service goes down hill. It did used to have live music and DJs but I haven’t been for a while on a night so I am not sure if they still do that. You need to understand that if you want a rip roaring noisy night out go there if you want a quite drink with friends and a meal don’t go on a night.

Great for drinking but no soo good for food, there is barely enough tables, especially when there is an important sports game on… service is good and cheap enough if you have a boomerang card…

I used to walk in this particular walkabout and thats porbably why I am not so keen on this establishment. It is very, very busy and the crowd can sometimes get a bit loud and abusive. As long as you know what you are going into then it is waht it is for a drinking bar. Different variety of foods are on offer, including croc burger. There is also always sport on the TV in the background. The music is very similar to the Chicago Rock Cafes, always the same kind of playlist.

Wlakabout is loud and proud and wuite often you have to queue to get in on a weekend. they have live bands and djs playing but its only good if you wanna dance the night away, no good for a quiet converstaion. During the day its a different story with good food and drink deals. They also put sport on the big screen tvs on a weekend daytime which attracts the crods. the only downside with walkabout is that the toilets are downstairs which can be a boit of a pain but the place is friendly, fairly cheap and full of atmosphere.

Walkabout is one of the chain pub/bars so you’ll find it throughout the country! During the day it has an array of crazy meals on offer to do with crocodile meat and other things Australian. The upper floor can be hired out I believe. On a night the place tends to be a great place to begin a night as there is quite good seating a small dance floor and free entry. Drinks aren’t that cheap here unless you’re fortunate enough to be a student. If you are get a student card as you can get vodka and red bull for £1.50. I find that it isn’t always younger people here, there are some older people here too. The DJ is quite fun getting everyone up to dance and later on when it gets busier the upstairs opens. That’s when the party really starts with Walkabout! The music is usually more recent stuff. Toilets are easy to find downstairs with well lit corridors. Staff here are really nice and while id’ing is strict the bouncers are really friendly! Definitely worht a visit.

Walkabout is one of my favourite pubs in Middlesbrough; it is located under the Centre North East building so it is pretty difficult of miss. Walkabout is a chain of Australian pubs and they are increasing popular throughout the UK. This walk about is a massive open complex with a huge bar, it is extremely busy during the day for lunches and on weekends you quite often have to squeeze your way through to the bar. Perhaps one of the felling points of this bas is the menu, they claim to offer typical Australian dishes such as a crocodile filled and a kangaroo burger. I have never eaten either dishes but the novelty seems to attract many people. The pub has a massive function room about it which is quite often used for private parties, I have been to an engagement party there and it will fit many guests. Walkabout pulls in a variety of people, quite a lot of students and a lot of younger people that are out for a good night, as far as I remember it has a late licence remains busy right till the end of the night.
