A giant room full of trampolines is always going to make for a good day out. This place got a fair bit of flack when they first opened due to some accidents and their liability waiver(which is fairly standard practice from what I understand). You’ve got to take care of your own safety of course, but if you fancy some gentle exhilaration(I’m not one for extreme sports so this is as dangerous as I get) this is fab. I went with a group of friends, which is probably advisable, and I definitely recommend you book in advance, especially at weekends as the fill up fast. £10 for an hour of bouncing(which actually feels much longer once you’re out there). After you’ve checked in, been issued your wristband and changed in to your non-slip socks you just need to wait until your wristband colour is admitted(I can remember when they used to do this in leisure pools when I was a kid). There’s lockers and facilities provided. The activities include a field of trampolines, which can get a little chaotic, but I found most people kept to their own space when I was there. There’s also some trampoline dodgeball courts, which promptly reminded me exactly how bad at dodgeball/any team sport I am. The third area I loved even more than I thought I would — a variety of foam pits that you can swing over, tightrope across, or trampoline straight in to. These bits are staffed so that everyone gets a turn and everyone stays safe. I had a ridiculously fun & silly time, and left utterly knackered, so I’d call that a very successful day out.

So much fun and not just for kids. It’s a huge warehouse that is full of trampolines. Because they had issues when they first opened they make you watch a video before you can book tickets, fill in a disclaimer, and then undergo an in person briefing before you can get on the trampolines. It’s all common sense and about not trying things that you don’t know how to do. They have loads of lockers to store your stuff in while playing that you need a pound coin for. They also have cubby holes for non-valuable things if the lockers are too small. Make sure to arrive about 15 minutes before your session to allow time to do all the above. Once you get on the trampolining area you can play dodge ball(it’s really hard to pick up balls while bouncing), bounce on trampolines or my favourite the foam pit area. There are several fun things in the foam pit area, trampolines that you can jump off into foam, a slack line, ropes, and a really high bit to jump off into foam. It’s super fun and you will be embarrassed at how long it takes you to crawl out of the foam. There is a café and relaxing area upstairs if you have those that don’t want to take part but I think pretty much everyone can do at least part of it. It’s quite tiring so an hour is more than enough unless you are super fit and love trampolining. I’m planning to go again and work on jumping off the high bit without squealing. You know like the 6 year old in front of me did.

Fun fun fun for the kids. My dodgy back prevented me from trying myself but the look of flushed pleasure on the faces of my 3 under 10 year olds tell me that they loved it. After a safety briefing the kids get to roam across the huge hall which is divided into 3 parts:(1) dodge ball section;(2) main hall; and(3) foam pits. Booking is essential at busy times. Specific sessions available including for families. There is a basic café with tables that overlook the foam pits. It’s 10 mins walk from Newtongrange train station with plenty parking for those in cars(not easiest to find in a car).
