Quite simply a great day out. A huge country park on the top of a hillside with fabulous views over Wrexham and the surrounding area. The lead mines themselves are too dangerous to enter but the restored processing works and engine house are open several days a week throughout the year, but be sure to check first, and are free to look around. The guides on hand are extremely knowledgeable and enthusiatic about all things lead. Theres lot of information available to help with school projects and the adjacent country park is a great place for a picnic.
