This is my local chippy and the frequent queues here indicate its popularity. It’s an archetypal mom & pop operation. Actually, to be strictly accurate, it’s actually a mom and grandpop operation with granddad doing most of the frying.
Most of their business is fish and chips with most of the fish fried to order and is usually delicious. The chips are also generous in portion and adequately crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. There is also a mini Chinese takeaway service available with noodles and a few typical takeaway staples on the menu.
A solid chippy.
