Very nice oriental bakery, everything is fresh and the prices are very cheap.
Be careful of the savoury pieces if you have a western pallette They use the same sweet dough for savoury as for sweet. For sweet things, very nice.

This is one of the few places in Newcastle that serves bubble tea, though it’s powder based. They have a range of fresh baked pastries from meat-​filled to sweet desert buns and tarts. I highly recommend the Portuguese egg tarts. This place is a a gem hidden away in a small corner of Chinatown.

Breadpoint is an oriental-​style bakery/​café located close to Chinatown in Newcastle-​upon-​Tyne. It sells a really unique range of chinese/​japanese cakes and savouries, all of which are worth trying and absolutely delicious. There is also a wide range of both hot and cold drinks, and the ‘Bubble teas’ are an excellent alternative to milkshakes for the more adventurous. Also highly recommended are the strawberry/​mango puddings. They also do bespoke cakes for occasions on request.
