This Greggs is at the top of the Bigg Market in Newcastle, just a few minutes walk away from Monument Metro station. There are many other fast food restaurants nearby including a KFC and Pizza Hut (or Pasta Hut) nearby, but for me Greggs will always win. The main premise of Greggs is baked goods such as pasties, rolls and sandwiches are cooked fresh on the premises and sold for very cheap. The staff are always very friendly and the food always tasty, a great place to get a quick snack.

Located next to the central train station, Greggs is a good place not only for travellers but also to those who want to have a snack without having to wait for a long time. It is not a big shop so the variety and availability of products especially during evening times depends on luck. The quality of products is always high and special attention to hygiene is given as
I found this shop to be thoroughly clean. The staff is helpful and the service is generally fast. Apart from snacks the bread range is satisfactory but on the other hand i am not a big fan of Gregg’s bread but thats just me.
Coffee is available.
