Ikon You will either think of this place as the best club in the world or as the worst place you’ve ever set foot in. It depends what you look for in a night out. If thousands of merry glamed up people piled in a vast space dancing the night away to YMCA is what takes your fancy, don’t think about it twice: head to Ikon. If the thought of hoards of sweaty drunken 20 year olds rubbing up against each other and being sick in the loos is not quite your sort of scene, then steer clear of this place– depends how you look at it. It is by far the biggest club in Newcastle if not in the northeast and has many different rooms, each with a different theme and genre of music. There is a vast balcony over the top of the main dance floor which allows you to peer down at the crowd below over a banister (and perhaps spot whoever takes your fancy)!
