Very nice fish restaurant located in a former church. The place is huge, but we found it quite cosy. The staff was very friendly and the food really good. The prices are steep, though. Beware the specials: I ordered the halibut from the fish bar(«only 1 left») with sides and paid over 20GBP for a tiny piece of fish. I felt rather ripped off. Lunch offer available.

I have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions and today was a complete let down. Ordered the salmon pan fried with a choice of two side dishes and sauce. So went for mixed veg, samphire and parsley sauce. I’m not sure I have much good to say about what came out… The fish was the redeeming feature but as a fish restaurant you would expect this to be good. The mixed veg looked as if it was days old. Broccoli that was yellow and brown rather then green. Sprouts that were solid and not cooked properly. Samphire was rough and tough and very stalky. Not pleasant at all. The parsley sauce was full of what appears to to wholegrain mustard bits. Again not at all what expected. Overall one of the worst meals I have had for a long time and would certainly make me question whether I will go back again… Really needs to do better than this

We visited for the special Mediterranean night. We weren’t particularly late 8pm booking. It took them 30 mins to seat us. When we ordered I couldn’t have the paella and my partner couldn’t order risotto– reason they had ran out of rice! It was only 8:30 and a night with two rice dishes on the special menu. The alternative main course was nice if not a bit small. When it came to ordering dessert they had ran out of that too. So we had to order of main menu– not much of a Mediterranean night really. Very disappointing.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone and have already done so on many occasions. The atmosphere is very friendly and the staff are all really good at their jobs, they know the food and drink inside out and nothing is too much trouble for them. The building itself is fantastic and i loved being able to see the produce and the chefs cooking away. The place is immaculate, the toilets especially clean and nice. And where do i start about the food? i have been a few times now and the seafood is always fresh and very nice, the steak is to die for too. Loch Fyne is not pub prices but this is NOT pub food!

I absolutely love this restaurant which is right on Gosforth High Street very close to local bus stops and both on street parking, and 2 local car parks. Situated in what was once an old church, it is an unusually styled building, but beautifully laid out inside with plenty of room and a pleasant atmosphere. It is laid out over two floors, each floor with their own toilets(which are clean and pleasant) and staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The menu is primarily sea food and it is all cooked and presented beautifully. Although prices are quite high, they often do special offers, such as three courses for a set price and they have a regular lunch time deal. Not particularly child friendly, I would say this is a great place for a leisurely adult dinner either with friends or as a romantic meal. recommended.
