Peter Barratts is one of the best garden centres around. To call it a garden centre does’nt do it justice realy as it has so much more. They have a wide range of gifts, candles and the like, but they are so lovely you’ll want to keep them for yourself. They have aquarium and pet supplies as well as everything you’ll need for the greenhouse and garden. The plants are always fresh and unusual and they have a vast variety of seeds.
You’ll find a seasonal shop and the café is good for a meal or just a coffee and the childrens play area is welcome.
Good on site parking. You’ll find Peter Barratts along side Gosforth race course.

Just next to Newcastle racecourse this is a big garden centre with lots of different ranges; outdoor plants, paving, interior, Chhristmas shop, Greenhouse supplies. Café is popular. I think it is one of the slightly more expensive Gdn centres but still keep coming back as the plants are slightly different and are better than those from B+Q. Never had a plant wither up and die from this store
