A reasonably sized shop on multiple floors, the bottom floor filled, from floor to ceiling with guitars. What more could you possibly want? The staff are also very friendly too, and not pushy, even if your just coming in to have a bit of a play around. However, the prices aren’t as competitive as in Sounds Live next door in my honest opinion, but they do good deals if you buy a few things. Never had a bad experience there. Generally, a great place to shop!

Probably the best music retailers in central Newcastle. Sound control has a friendly relaxed shopping environment with well trained staff who know what they’re talking about. You won’t find too many bargains since prices are very average. There are so many guitars to choose from, you might be in there a while. This shop is right next to an Italian restaraunt where you can chew over any hasty decisions you might make. Sound Control sell pretty much everything and there is an online store and repair servce which also come in handy. Looking for a fine piece of gear? then browse here!
