we had nothing but problems with the new owners from start to finish, our booking wasnt placed, we were overcharged and one of the party overheard the owner laughing about us, very poor avoid

The Wheatsheaf is a really good pub, but it just seems to be in the wrong place. Even though it’s just down the road from Palmersville Metro and on theh local bus route, it nevers seems to be that busy. The only exception to this is when Newcastle are on television and then it’s busy. If you’re looking for a place to watch football this is as good as any. There are any number of screens, so you can get a good view from anywhere.
The beers good but someone’s going to have to miss out if you’re driving there.
There is also a good selection of food but I can’t comment on the standard as I haven’t tried anything yet.
