A fabulous«meat» lovers paradise. Seafood? You can have it in spades all over the coastline, which is amazing, but sometimes you want a proper steak dinner. Sadly, finding some amazing steak, brisket, pork, onion rings on the other hand, not so simple. The Bull Pit in the heart of Newquay is wonderful, its just down the street from beach and sorts you out perfectly. The staff is so very sweet and helpful, food is just what you want if you’ve read the menu before hand. I truly cant fault it and give the owner top marks on decoration and staff training. Ill be back and recommending…

I came here with a group of three not knowing what to expect. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was nice as well! I ordered the hamburger and two side orders(baked potato and salad) which cost me only £9.50 for a large amount of food! Also, the waiter was very nice and welcoming and asked us where we were from. I am from the States, and I have to say, Bullpit served better American barbeque than what I usually get back home. If you are ever in Newquay and not sure where to eat out, I highly recommend Bullpit. Plus, it is right by the beautiful sea!

I’m from the States, so I’m constantly exposed to what a good BBQ should taste and look like. This place passes all of the tests honestly. I came here with a group of 3 and when we first walked in, we were a little skeptical due to the fact there were only 2 other diners in the entire room, but we decided to go with our gut and order anyways. Good thing we did! I ordered the Combination platter, with pulled pork, mac cheese, and french fries. The meat was tender and delicious, and the sweet BBQ sauce that came with it really paired well with dark rich flavor of the meat. The mac cheese and french fries were your typical sides, very good, but not too special. Overall this cost 12.95, and there was a good amount of food for dinner, so I left very satisfied with my meal. Our waiter was also extremely nice and welcoming, asking us where we were from in America, as he could tell from our accents we weren’t locals(hahaha). We even asked him if the owner was American, which, not to our surprise, he was, growing up in Texas for a large part of his life. Clearly he brought over what he learned to Newquay. Definitely come here if you want some good old fashioned American BBQ! Would definitely go back if ever in the area. There are also cheaper options for those that think 12.95 might be too much!
