Austins is the department store in Newton Abbot. It is a large store, housed in three separate buildings. It sells a wide range of goods but some of my favourite departments are:
kitchen equipment — really good range, quite pricey but really the only place you can get this sort of thing.
make up and perfume — again a great range and all the big brands.
toys — really fantastic range, not just at Christmas.
Also has a good coffee shop.
Not a cheap shop, but good products and friendly, well trained staff.
No car park but there is on street parking and local car parks near by.

great for all types of shopping, you can buy presents for older and younger people and upmarket etc. Can grab a bragain. Situated in newton abbot main high street the only department store, people do pay the large prices. Has a large perfume and makeup section including dior, estee lauder, clinique etc and a principles, bay trading etc. very friendly staff and do invite cardholders to special promotion days

One of those stores which has been a figure head in Newton Abbot for a long time.
Good quality goods, perfumes, make-up. Clothes and shoes.
Great for that unusual gift expensive or token.
Lovely coffee shop, clean and comfortable.
everyone helpful.
Clean and attractive washroom facilities.
Now trying to attract the younger customer, recent refit modern and more spacious.
Can be expensive.

Austins used to be the figurehead within newton abbot many years ago, still selling the same items and trying to branch out more within the town it seems Austins has lost what it once had, a great attraction.
the prices are very high and therefore deters a lot of younger people to shop their which is shame and this is what will keep the shop going in the later periods.
recommended if you have recently won the lottery.
