I’ve only eaten here once and frankly, once was enough. From the outside looking in the décor is a bit like a granny’s living room — floral with little lamps with floral shades scattered around. The only reason we ventured in was because I demanded it on one of my first visits to Ards with my then boyfriend back in the day when I was just beginning to enjoy Chinese food and thought it was all the same. It’s not. The place looks like it needs a serious refurbishment both inside and out as even the menu in the window is tatty. Three courses for £5.60 — that should tell you everything you need to know really. The menu is your standard Chinese affair and as far as I recall I had sweet and sour chicken with rice. I remember my boyfriend ordered curry and it was thin like water and the meat, just like my sweet and sour was tough and not even like chicken. The first course was spring rolls — kind of an empty shell of a roll presented just on a plate with no trimmings You know what the dessert was so uneventful I can’t even remember — probably a ball of ice-cream or some lychees. We have since eaten in so many Chinese’s that we know what is good and what isn’t. This place is cheap and basic and just not great.
