This was a highlight of our trip to the UK. We almost gave up on it when our gps made navigating the one way streets all but impossible, but I’m so glad we persevered. I believe our waiter was also the owner, and he was incredibly inviting and welcoming. We ordered two platters for four of us, and we all got the beet root soup to start. We wanted to sample a little of everything, so the platters were the way to go. The food was incredible. Beef rolls that melted in your mouth, pork shanks that were worth the wait(about 20 or 25 minutes), onion pierogies, polish sausage, pork loin– every bite was just amazing. I couldn’t believe that my family ate every bite– it was an enormous amount of food. Authentic, prepared with love and care. We also had a 10 month old baby with us, and she agreed that the food was delicious, as she couldn’t get enough of sampling the menu either. They have an awesome high chair too that looked like it could be found in a ski lodge in the Swiss alps– rustic, sturdy, and very comfortable. The service was so friendly and helpful with offering suggestions, and even other guests in the small restaurant were friendly and willing to start up a conversation.

This place was just perfection : The waitress welcomed us like I haven’t see before. Her full face smile never wore off and she was extremely polite. Amazing. The food, well. We both are too much but we’ll do ing again, and again, and again. The started was made with two pieces of fried salty sheep cheese(yes, and it’s great). My Boyfriend took and traditional beef sausage wrapping bacon/carrot/pickled cucumber with a side salad of red cabbage and some empty fried dumpling. Great taste and rally nice presentation. I chose the mix dumplings. All fried and really tasty. Some with spinach, some with cheese, some with cabbage etc… I was gladly surprised by this quality for a family business so small. For pudding, he took a slice of apple cake, warm and delicious. I went brave and took the«Naughty surprise cake for men & women». I won’t post a picture of that but let me tell you that the full restaurant exploded in laughter and I even drop a tear. We finished with some tradition shot of vodka(honey for him, cherry for me, both great). There is no real down side, as even the little pricy side is fully covered with the quality of … Well everything.

Bit more expensive than other Polish restaurant s we’ve been to, but a firm favourite when we’re visiting our friends in Northampton. Shame that the herring starters seem to have disappeared, but the goulash with potato pancakes was lovely, as were the side salads. Hats off to them for giving us a good laugh at their desserts for a man or for a woman. Being gay, I chose the dessert for a lady…

Traditional Polish food is the speciality but this restaurant is not just for Polish people! The whole point is that the owners want to share their national cuisine. Give it a try! All food freshly prepared on the premises.
