We have been eating here for 15 years or so, and we are always very happy with the food and service. We generally pick the same items off the menu so cannot comment on the full range but certainly what we choose is always very tasty. We like the window seat as there is a bit of space there. They do cram rather a lot of tables into the small space they have! If we go early we do sometimes feel a little rushed as the waiters stand around the table waiting to fill your glass with wine or tidy the table. If you tell them you want more time between courses they accept it. Overall we rate this restaurant 4 stars and choose it most times we fancy eating out.

The Maharaja is a very cosy restaurant, it feels like home, because of the carpeted floors, and stairwell and the way its layout like your dining in your living room. Even the bar remindes me of Pat Butcher’s bar in Eastenders. I ordered a Nan bread, which was big, and soft and beautiful in taste. I also got a Tikka Rogan, which had succulant, juicy tomatoes and chicken in the curry… just tasty. The customer service was good, it was also cool to see how they brought the food to you on a trolley with small stoves on it. Ive not seen that before. The total of my meal was £11:60 which is not bad. They also have a takeaway service as well. Overall lovely, relaxing experience, and would come if Iam in the area.
