Pret A Manger

I was surprised to find a Pret here in Norwich, but that’s just me thinking they were only in London. It’s a happy surprise, because I love Pret and their fantastic creative sandwiches. I really love the Mozzarella Pesto Bloomer, which arrives on 7 grain bread with sliced tomatoes and fresh basil leaves. Or if you want meat, try the Swedish Meatball Ragu Hot Wrap. Both are amazing with crisps («potato chips) and I love the sweet potato if you can find them.
Pret does offer free wi-​fi (and amazing coffees) but I was not able to find a power outlet.

In the centre of the city you’ll find this great coffee house.
Offering free Wifi as well as great coffee and nibbles.
It’s really nice to just relax upstairs on the comfy sofas after a day of shopping.
I particularly like their soups. They have a great spicey one for veggies. They generally change the flavour from week to week. Bread is an added extra at 20p a roll for dipping an dunking.
The music is generally laid back jazzy stuff.
They have a selection of newspapers to read while you are visiting and can be found up stairs.
There is also some outdoor seating in front of the shop should you wish to have some fresh air.
They also sell bottled fizzy drinks and juices should you not fancy cafeine.

I went there for the first time 2 months ago. The staff couldnt have been more helpful and literally bent over backwards to help me despite the language barrier they were excelling at customer service. There was plenty of clutter left on tables but that didnt take anything away from my experience.

Good selection of hot and cold foods. Much better choice that the usual ‘coffee shop’ at a reasonable cost! Eat in or take away. Great, freshly made hot drinks, cant fault this clean, comfortable, friendly eatery

This is possibly the best coffee shop chain branch in Norwich. It has comfortable seating upstairs and downstairs and some seating outside. Staff are always available to keep the tables cleared and generally clean and tidy. There are customer toilets which are decent too.
This place sells a really good range of sandwiches with lovely fillings, plus some salads, and sushi. There are also hot wraps and pastries. There are usually 2 flavours of soup on sale, one for meat eaters and one that is vegetarian. The soups are really filling and really good value.
There is a range of coffees, hot chocolates etc, all at good prices and you can take away or eat in. You can also get different food at different times of day, so if you are looking for breakfast, then you can have porridge!
I think this is an excellent good value place to get lunch or a coffee.

Pret a manger is brilliant! You can eat in upstairs or downstairs on comfortable settees or you can sit outside under parasols and watch everyone as they go about their day! Of course you can take your food away to eat if you prefer.
Pret a manger has a really good selection of sandwiches, salads, soups and hot savoury wraps and pastries. They also do cakes and breakfast items like porridge and granola with yoghurt, plus muffins and croissants.
They make their food fresh on the premises and if you only have a small appetite you can buy one of their single slice sandwiches so you don’t end up throwing food away!
They offer a selection of freshly brewed coffee, hot chocolate and tea, as well as cold drinks in the chiller cabinet.
There are customer toilets available which are clean and tidy.
This is a really nice place to pop for lunch from work or for a break from shopping. It is nice to meet friends here but you can quite happily sit on your own and read a book while you have your coffee.

Pret A Manger takes the whole coffee shop with packed sandwiches idea and turns it on its head, offering a bewildering array of freshly made, interesting sandwiches that are actually enjoyable to eat, rather then the usual tripe sold at coffee shops these days. The shop itself is large and spacious, with a variety of seating, both indoors and out. A great way to wind down after a hard days shopping.
Also, they offer all their sandwiches in halves, a fantastic option for when you’re feeling just peckish rather then properly hungry. Its a brilliantly simple idea that no other sandwich shop seems to offer.
