My no.1 one choice for Fried Chicken.
Now when it comes to Southern Fried Chicken Legs, Thighs and that stuff then KFC is still the place, but when it comes down to a Southern Fried Chicken Burger then it has to be Kansas.
I always have the Double Chicken Burger with Cheese which i’m amazed hasn’t caused my jaw to lock up (its massive).
Nothing better will fill you up then one of these especially when your having trouble decided on something quick yet filling to eat.
Unfortunately for Kansas it is situated to the far end of Union Street which is a good 5−10min walk from the main part of Oldham (shopping & bars) which if your out and about shopping then you will never ever see this place.
If your out and about enjoying the Oldham nightlife then you will never see it and no doubt head to Florida Fried Chicken.
If your passing Oldham in a car and get that hunger feeling then i can safely recommend Kansas.
I’ve also discovered another one on Kingsway in Burnage, Manchester which is amazing as i can have Kansas at work !

very good quality food can be bought from kansas. some meals can be pricey but they have a large selection of meal
is situuated in a great location, it is two doors away from a taxi rank, across the road from the sixth form college and around the corner from the clubs.

Chicken and chips is all you need as you fall out of the Castle or Jacksons at quarter past stupid o ckock on a saturday morning. No matter what time it is Kansas seems to be always open!
Cleverly located next to the taxi rank, this grease-​fest will cure that yearning for a kebab and give you just enough energy to make it home.
Kansas is one of the few takeaways you’d probably go to sober, it’s actually not that bad, and even better on top of a belly full of beer.

Kansas is located on union st, serving food from fried chicken, burgers and Desserts. The Menu are not massive but what i can say is, what they do serve is good tasty food, always popular with the local students and having eaten there myself many a time, this is someone you will visit, time and time again.
