Wan’s

As you may have guessed from the name, Wan’s is a takeaway that specialises in Chinese cuisine. I guess it could have also been spelt ‘Juan’s’, but that doesn’t sound quite as Chinese now, does it? Sounds more like a Mexican or tapas bar.
Wan’s is a pleasant enough chippy that is sat just over the road from the Indoor Market and is a good place to go if you’re looking for a chippy dinner or some Chinese food. Their chippy menu is what you’d expect but it’s all well made and pretty tasty without being anything too flashy.
Their Chinese menu is fairly large and varied, offering both meat and vegetarian options in a range of interesting sauces and dishes. Their prices aren’t too expensive, meaning you can get a decent Chinese meal here for just over a fiver usually. The shop itself is a bit small, but thanks to the efficient staff you’re never usually waiting in there too long anyway.
In terms of chippies in Ormskirk, it’s probably ‘Wan’ of the best (sorry).
