Ye Old Boot Inn

Awful, avoid like the plague.
Stopped off here for Sunday lunch, 2 courses for £11.50, I wish I hadn’t bothered. The pub itself is ok I suppose, several small bars, good selection of beer, wines and spirits, but nothing extraordinary. However, the food was absolutely disgusting. Cynical doesn’t cover the abysmal quality of the food served. Over cooked veg, swimming in liquid, a slice of grey beef, two over cooked roast potatoes, a couple of mushy new potatoes, the Yorkshire was ok… But barely enough gravy to make it palatable! The kids meal was not much better, a couple of undercooked sausages, and mushy chips… At least the beans were warm.
One of the worst lunches I have had the misfortune to pay for. Take my advice and keep driving, McDonalds is only a few miles north!

Das Old Boot ist ein typischer englischer Pup und ein Hotel mit 6 Zimmen, mit allem was dazu gehöhrt. Es befindet sich im privat Besitz. Das essen ist wie immer in England fast miserabel. Die Zimmer sind als währe man im 1600 Jahrhundert. Man bekommt hier die Englische Steifheit der Wirtsleute zu spüren. Dagegen sind die Engländer gar nicht so steif wie man es immer sagt. In der direkten Nähen befindet sich ein altes Castle !
Ich kann nichts anderes empfehlen da ich beruflich dort einquartiert war !
