It’s nice to know that despite the sad demise of Just Books in Headingley there are still a few of these gems knocking around. Nothing could be more worth the spend than a really great book to get your grey cells going, be it non-​fiction, biography or fiction, any good book can last a lifetime and be re-​read more than enough times to make it worth buying in the first place!
Just Books is great for just that, being as they sell exactly what they say, just books. There are hundreds to choose from at really good prices, although similar to a charity shop, you need to dig for your treasure. It’s by no means a Waterstones or an Ottakers in here, so I wouldn’t go looking for anything too specialist, but certainly for an impulse treat it’s a great start. They do plenty of deals too so you won’t be short on reading material after a little visit here!

A good range of popular books to choose from; classic novels, to modern fiction, sci-​fi, self-​help and then the DIY learning sections with yoga, cooking, gardening etc. this bookshop has the whole range that any other large chine bookshop would have, such as at Waterstones, but is small and has good deals such as 2 for 5 pounds. A small section for calendars so not just for books, the shop has a variable opening time on Sundays depending on weather or not the market is on and weirdly for an Otley shop it’s actually open on Sunday.
