One of the many pubs in Otley, the Pipes is one of the more ‘local’ feeling pubs, having existed for years in the market town.
It’s the sort of pub that’s proud of its heritage, and you can tell it’s a bit of a favourite amongst some of the locals, who stride in like they own the place.
This makes it a little less friendly than it could be, and you can get a few dodgy looks from people who spend all say drinking it seems, as they can tell you’re «not from round here».
The staff are excellent and friendly though, and it’s a cheap pint at the end of the day — like most of the pubs in Otley. I wouldn’t make it my local but it’s OK if you’re in the area.
