Harcourt Hill is not as far away from Gypsy lane as Wheatley, but it is further than cheney, warneford etc. It is on the other side of the city centre and is about a ten min bus ride into town, 20 mins to gypsy. not very far. The great thing about harcourt is that it is catered for. The food isnt bad and its the most sociable becasue of this. You really will know the names of everyone when you leave. The rooms are huge. really big. The biggest that brookes has to offer. However, although you get your own sink in your room the bathroom is shared — thats the down side. It could also do with a refurb which i think they are slowly doing. They have some newer blocks now which are lovely but rooms are smalller. The grounds at harcourt are fab. Lots of greenery and benches for picnics. There is a big gold course, a swimming pooland PARKING! thats right, you can park. Pretty much only campus you can! A lot of lessons take place at harcourt — such as religious studies, philosophy, drama — so stay here if you study them. You can go to lessons in your p. j’s that way. The food here is actually okay so dont be afraid of being catered for. There is a lot of choice. lUNCH ISNOTINCLUDED — JUSTBREAKYANDDINNER. I think people who dont stay at harcourt wont understand whats so great about it but everyone i know who stayed there would choose to do so again.
