This Tesco caters mostly for Cowley Road’s mixture of students and professionals, and is not necessarily designed as a family shop. The range of groceries is not as wide as in bigger stores, but it has a large selection of drinks, snacks, and prepared foods. This makes it convenient for quick shopping trips but — despite the small pay carpark at the back — it’s not really too handy for anything bigger-​scale.
It’s usually bright, clean, and well-​staffed, and the self-​checkouts are very popular. It has ATMs, Lottery, and a range of other pluses (Krispy Kreme doughnuts!) that make it popular and successful at meeting the needs of its target market. Staff are friendly and recognise regulars, which adds to the pleasant feel of the place.

Ce supermarché n’est pas trop cher et on peut y trouver un peu près tout ce qu’on cherche: nourriture en grande quantité (fruits, légumes, charcuterie.), pain, poduit pour lessive, pour vaisselle, biscuits, shampoings, savon pour la douche, eau, etc Mais ce n’est pas le moin cher.

This is large Tesco store, which has bakery, fishmonger and Krispy Kreme donuts!
Plenty of parking with a good wholefood section.
There is also a café, which seems to be a sales reps meeting point between 9−10am.

I’m a massive fan of this tesco since its become my local tesco. It was being refurbed last year and was horrific. However recently the refurb work has finished and its looking immaculate. Despite it being a small one, it is amazingly well stocked, has had EVERYTHING I have ever needed, and I mean everything. It even has fresh krispy kreme donuts delivered dailythats what I call service. It may not have a mean counter but being so small I suppose I cant expect it to. I definitely recommend this store.

I’m sure you’ve all been inside Tesco, but it’s worth reviewing local ones, as they can vary between towns and even within towns. The Cowley Road supermarket is loved by students and locals alike and has fantastic opening hours to satisfy cravings at any time. It’s got a great range of products, including a surprisingly big health food range. It’s not the most luxurious shop ever, but it does more than just the basics (incidentally, try out Tesco value chocolate — you can’t beat it for price and it doesn’t taste too bad either!) and the layout is surprisingly logical for a shop of this nature. The staff are generally friendly and the shelves well-​stocked, although I imagine this does depend on the time of day you go in. The worst thing about it is the drunk people rolling around in tracksuits some of the time — it can be rather threatening and the staff seem to do little to discourage them.
