This a lovely, cosy, tradional, warm locals pub away from the town centre with a good but slightly predictable ale selection (Bass, Tribute, Hen). Shows Sky Sports and is divided into 2 distinct rooms (with the serving area inbetween). I happened to find myself in the smaller, quieter side, which suited me.
Is listed with English Heritage who believe it is at least 300 years old.

Really traditional family run pub. Very friendly and popular with locals. There is a carvery on Sundays, which is nothing amazing but very cheap and it often sells out. The public bar has a pool table and there is regular entertainment and the saloon bar is cosy and quiet.

Very cozy pub, friendly staff, looks like it is popular with older residents in the area.
They provide a great range of food and drinks at very good prices. Located in a quiet residential area, away from the town centre, it is more popular with local residents than tourists.
