Abbey Books

What a little treasure trove. I’d quite happily live here if I could. I love books. I just love them. When you walk in, that musty smell of old bookshop hits you like a tonne of books (see what I did there). I’d quite happily spend the day perusing the aisles of this shop. You’ll find almost anything here and if you can’t find it, the very helpful staff will source it for you and order it in.
I remember when I was in sixth year at school, they managed to source a James Joyce book for my advanced higher English.
It’s a little hidden gem in Paisley, up by the university and nestled away in the West End. They also have free Wi-​Fi.
The only thing I will say is that you’ll have to manouevre piles of books, but that only adds to the charm of this place!
