A very hidden attraction. It wasnt even obvious that it was open, except that a party of kids went in before us to indicate that it was open. On entering, we were greeted by the attendant who gave us lots of good advice on getting the most out of our visit. There were good displays and lots of events in the pipeline which were well advertised. There were various floors of diplays of space and planetary discoveries through the ages. The final thing was the observatory itself. This was very atmospheric and harked back to the Victorian wonders of space and planets. The time wasn’t right for us to view the skies when we were there, but special viewings are well publicised in advance.
