I just adore this shop. The range of shoes and boots for men, women and children are amazing and very unusual. The handbags are to die for! Delicious accessories i.e. purses, christening gifts etc, I could spend all day in this shop as the lady assistants are welcoming and friendly but above all very professional. Easy access by rail, just 2 minutes from train station and there is also a free car park in the nearby square.

With it’s friendly and inviting exterior, coupled with it’s childish, yet charming name, Ogam Igam is a rather unique little shoe shop. This shop isn’t designed to attract style gurus or those prepared to splash wads of cash on designer labels, so if that’s the kind of shopper you are, I wouldn’t waste your time here. For a friendly and helpful service, coupled with a good selection of proper, practical shoes, I’d recommend Ogam Igam. The shop really caters for children well, with the broad selection of cute, yet durable looking shoes sure to appeal to parents. The shop also has a fair selection of shoes for women, with most of the shoes offering very good value for money. As a young male, describing the designs and practicality of the shoes is perhaps not my forte, although my mother assures me the selection here is of a high standard. The charm of the place probably biases one into rating this shop a little higher than it deserves.

I’m afraid I can’t really see the appeal of this shop. Ogam Igam is quaint and charmingly decorated, but the shoes on offer here are mediocre at best, rivalling Clarks for unoriginality and bulkiness. I walked in and thought that the sales assistant had popped out for a bit because the shop was completely empty. I spotted someone in the back stockroom who I assumed worked there, sitting on a box and munching on a sandwich. She asked if I was«allright there» and continued to eat as I browsed the uninspiring adult and kids’ shoe ranges. I can’t really say I found anything I’d ever wear — the women’s clunky and unsightly selections reminded me of shoes dowdy soccer moms would wear to a nursery picnic. The kids’ options are marginally better. The shoes in this section outnumber the adults’, so you’ll probably have a better chance of finding something that suits your little one.

Lovely shop with a good selection of shoes for children and comfy shoes for adults. Very good to see also a good selection of handbags which when I was there in July 2010 they were on sale — I resisted! I was surprised to here from another shop across the road they did not know that they did more than children’s shoes — perhaps they needed glasses?

This shop with its eye catching shoes caught my attention on a recent trip to Penarth. As well as a stunning range of children’s summer footwear the shop also sells a good range of school shoes. Having somewhat wide feet I often have problems buying shoes and was delighted to be able to find a good choice of sandals on offer. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful and seemed genuine in their wish to help me find the right pair of shoes. If you can’t make it to Penarth the shop also provides an online shoe store which you can browse from the comfort of your own home.

Yet another shoe shop in Penarth! Phew! When I returned from recent months of travel, the only footwear I had to my name was a pair of flip flops which had seen me well around South East Asia. When I then returned to snow in Wales, my toes took me time and time again to standing outside shoe shops such as this. I have a new appreciation for them. Ogam Igam is an exceptionally well presented shop just around the corner from Penarth Railway Station. They sell a good range of shoes which immediately strike you as a little bit different and fun. With shoes for tots to adults, this is a clean, polite and spacious place to keep toes happy in.

This is a super shoe shop with a range of magnificent footwear for both children and adults. They stock a large range of quality european shoes and I have recently spotted Agatha ruiz de la prada girls shoes in there. The shop is spotlessly clean and the window displays are always really eye catching and enticing. The staff are reserved yet very friendly and are trained to measure correctly. The range is vastly improved since the shop’s move from the windsor arcade and there is now available parking in its current location by the train station. Highly recommended when your purse is full on payday!
