Having developed a reputation as a great little restaurant, diners can expect something of a treat when dining at The Olive Tree. Decorated in a modern, yet tasteful and subtle manner, The Olive Tree creates a relaxing and stylish setting for its guests. There is a sense of sophistication when dining here which is reflected by the good service, setting and of course the food.
The menu is fairly reasonably priced, with a great selection of modern French dishes, with the air of authenticity still intact. Undoubtedly one of the finest French restaurants around, i’m at pains to suggest anywhere matches the quality of food in this genre of cuisine. Set in the back streets of Penarth, there should be plenty of parking available. Best to book in advance.

The Olive Tree is a classy little French restaurant on Penarth’s Glebe Street with fine and fairly expensive food, attentive waiting staff, and a clean, modern décor.
French restaurants are in short supply around Cardiff, and this place seems to have got the balance just right all round, with a contemporary restaurant that’s not too clinical, staff who are friendly but unobtrusive, and food that’s modern but still very French.
It also seems to attract both business people and couples having a leisurely meal, and is upmarket but not at all stuffy. It’s one of Penarth’s best restaurants, and in fact one of the best in the whole area.

This is another one of Penarth’s fantastic restaurants. The Olive Tree serves French food and has recently had a refurbishment to update the restaurant into a fresh, modern and very appealing space. This is a classy and upmarket restaurant which is perfect for business or fun.
Over the years, The Olive Tree has really built up a reputation in serving fine cuisine to the people of South Wales. Their menu is deliciously tempting and the food is never a disappointment; it remains both modern and heartwarming. Truly this little find is the best French restaurant in a wide surrounding area.
The service is just the right level between being attentive to your every need, and allowing conversations to go on uninterrupted. So you can continue a business meeting or romantic meal in the peaceful lap of luxury.
As you might expect, this is a restaurant which charges high end prices. But it’s worth every penny for the food and the comfortable experience.
