Brunswick deli is located in the very centre of Penrith in a beautiful old building, established in the 19th century. You walk through the huge door and are met by the smell of all the different goodies inside. There are several rows along the walls of different pickles, james, chocolates, sweets, breads etc. It’s like something from the olden days and really charming. In the centre is a huge deli counter that you walk round choosing your fresh meats, cheeses, olives, pies etc. They have a different flavour of homemade soup served daily & fresh sandwiches/baguettes. It’s worth going here to get all your goodies for a picnic. They are not too expensive either as they have to compete with two Greggs bakers nearby.

Go here for delicous baguettes, flapjacks and brownies to set you up for a picnic on a long walk — lots of extra nice sandwich fillings like brie ham and chutney and I think they’re good value. There’s loads of other nice deli type stuff like olives and pates and meat. The other good bit is there’s lots of tasters on the counter on saturday.
