Ordered a small white wine with lemonade and a cocktail. I was asked what size wine i would like and I said small, with lemonade in the glass. She asked if I wanted red or white wine, I repeated that I would like a small white wine with lemonade in it, she then asked what size lemonade I would like I think there was a huge language barrier there :(

have been to the Frankie and Benny’s in Peterborough a lot of times, the staff are great and helpful, unfortunatly the food is a bit off hit or miss. sometimes the food is great and other times it is overcooked or undercooked.

this is a really nice restaurant and i often go here for lunches during the week with my work friends as they do cheap lunch deals for 5.95 for one course or i think its 9.95 for two courses. its always a really nice atmosphere.

Frankie and Benny’s offer a brilliant variety of food and some amazing cocktails, however i would say this is definately not a restaurant to go to if it is not your birthday. A birthday song ‘congratulations’ was played four times last time i went. it is played very loudly and disrups your meal.

My wife and I visited F & Bs and have to say that we like the décor, the music and the general atmosphere but the food was very disappointing indeed. I don’t know where they source their fries but half of mine were just the burnt bits from the edges of the potatoes. My Chicken was way overcooked and dry. The corn on the cob looked like it had been cooked hours ago — it had a grey tinge to it. My Wife had a ceasar salad and she gave it a 2 out of 10. It consisted of three lettuce leaves, a quarter of a tomato, two anchovies and a few bits of torn bread. I think the chef needs to check his cookery book! I don’t think it’s too much to ask that a meal in a ‘restaurant’ should be at least as good as you can cook at home, given that I am a middle of the road cook, but I have to say this did not come close. Very poor quality food.

I love Frankie & Bennys!!! The classic hamburgers are my favourite! Especially the relish they put on the sides! The banana cheesecakes are yumyumyum.

Frankie & Benny’s is an Italian meets New York franchise restuarant based in Fengate, Peterborough. If you want a loud & lively atmosphere, this is a great place to go! Food varies, so there will always be something you like & pricing is reasonable. The only disadvantage is if you go on a busy night, you often have to wait a long time for a table, even if you’ve booked.

Loud, Italian-American cuisine and cocktails. As a restaurant chain, Frankie & Benny’s doesn’t do too bad. It’s main market is families and couples wanting a meal in the evening or before/after the cinema at the weekend. The menu’s varied enough and the food is well priced and quite nice. Once you’ve been a couple of times, the novelty of the 1950’s music wears a bit thin but you can counter that with a couple of Long Island Iced Tea’s so I’ll let them off. The cocktails are quite good, not really up to TGI standards(or some of the other cocktail bars in Peterborough) but they pass the Joff test. It’s always someone’s birthday at F&B’s, so be prepared to hear the longest rendition of Happy Birthday this side of the pond. If one of your party gets irate at noisy children, you might want to steer clear but otherwise it’s pretty inoffensive.

Load is one way I could discribe it in frankie and bennys and that is dissapointing. I don’t mind some music but its way to load and the last time we visited there were 4 birthday partys and they play music for this to, very load! Don’t think it helped that we sat under a speaker! The food was ok but to be honest I could make better at home, had a frozen mass produced feel to it!

This is a great restaurant to go to with family or friends. It is reasonably priced, and the portions are great. The staff here are always very friendly and helpful, and throughout your meal, they return to check you are enjoying it and that everything is ok with your food. There is a nice atmosphere, and this restaurant in particular has a lot of character and is a fun environment to be in. There was not a particularly long wait to get a table, or to get your food after ordering. Everything is carried out efficiently, and with style. You instantly feel like the people really are trying to help you have a good night.

Walking into Frankie and Benny’s, you could be forgiven for thinking you have walked back into the 1950’s. A themed American-Italian restaurant, F&B’s is a good choice for large groups and families. This branch in Peterborough has a great bar, where you can hang out whilst waiting for a table, or if you just want a drink. The tables and booths are set up to look like a diner. And the décor sets the mood for a friendly, family orientated meal. The menu is straighforward with pizza, calzone, fish, meat dishes available. The food is not of the highest quality, but you are not here for an haute cuisine meal. The quality is not terrible, and the staff are happy to deal with any problems. The menu also has good choices for kids and the restaurant is child friendly. The only minor negative was that for a American-Italian restaurant, the portions seemed on the small side for dinner. But when I have been here at lunchtimes, the portions have seemed too big! I guess different chefs have different ideas of what a portion is. For a fun night out with tasty food, F&B’s is a good choice. It is also well located for the nearby Showcase cinema.

very good restaurant, excellent range of food. drinks are quite pricey, but they do do a lovely selection of cocktails an some are non alcoholic. They are also great with kids the get a kids pack with crayons and a toy. Also get their own kids menu. My kids love the fact that they sing happy birthday to you. Although the music in the restaurant can be very loud especially when singing happy birthday.
