W H Smith

This branch of W H Smiths is pretty small and therefore has a rather limited range of stock making it not quite as handy as it may seem. The shop is poorly laid out making it very crampt and difficult to get round when it is busy. Staff seem quite uniterested at times and there is nearly always a long queue which ends up blocking some of the shelves which makes the lack of space issue even worse. This is the only stationers in the Serpentine Green Centre (apart from the small section in Tesco) so it is bound to get very busy at weekends and especially around Christmas. There is lots of free parking outside the shopping centre and it is out of the city centre making it more convenient for a quick trip to get printer paper of something simple that you can guarantee they have.

Great for books great for stationary DVD’s are a little over priced and I wouldnt ever buy any electrical type equipment from them.

I don’t like WHSmith too much. It never seems to have what I’m looking for. Its good for a browse, but usually I can get the same item cheaper off the web and delivered direct to my door. The alternative is to try and wade through the shelves, and then stand in the queues.

This shop is located in the shopping centre area of Serpentine Green. There is a huge free car park. It isn’t a big store but sells magazines, DVD s, games, stationary and cards. They have a lottery terminal. There is also a cash machine inside the store. They offer an ordering service if they don’t stock the item.
