Good pub with great prices. Popular with ale drinkers since it offers a great selection of ales, especially during their ale festivals. Located close to Plymouth Argyle and central park. Food here is good and cheap. Good friendly atmosphere here, with both staff and punters. Would recommend to families and friends alike.

I also think is the best weatherspoons in Plymouth. I often take the children swimming in central park and then walk across the road to fill there bellies cheaply in weatherspoons. There are often discount vouchers floating around so you can get a cheap meal even cheaper still. There are nice seating areas and the building itself is nicely decorated and it is clean and tidy inside. Unlike other pubs there is no sticky feeling as you walk across the wooden floor from spilt drinks. As per all the weatherspoons the food is lovely and excellent value. Thursday nights curry night is a particular favourite, they have a few different varieties of currys with a choice of drink for a set price. As per the other Weatherspoons there are only certain areas you can sit with a family, annoyingly this is often abused. I have been in several times and not able to get a seat or had to wait as single people were sat on tables meant for four people in the family area while there were tables empty in other parts of the restaurant but as I had children I was not allowed to sit at them.

I also remember it in the days when it had a music licence and you could come along to hear some great bands! However, now it’s changed character and become one of the Wetherspoon pubs, it’s still good but in a different way. At least now you can get some nice meals, especially if you’re vegetarian, as there are several good choices. It’s on a busy main road and corner so parking can be difficult. Your best bet is to leave the car in one of the residential streets behind.

Oh! But it’s Spoons so it must be good! This friendly local Wetherspoons branch is a real Godsend to this end of Peverell/Stoke/Milehouse. Lively on a Saturday night-but still okay for children earlier in the evening. There’s a small outside courtyard space that sadly tends to get dominated by smokers. Parking’s a problem, so walk if you can. Food as ever is cheap and good-and a wonderful range of beers/cocktails wines especially if you choose a Wetherspoons Beer or Wine festival for your visit. We were saddened by the disappearance of waffles with banana, maple syrup and Ice cream however. But the spinach, chick pea and potato curry is a great addition! Go Spoons!

Out of all the weatherspoons in plymouth i think this is the best one of them all, nice food, nice staff and all round a brilliant weatherspoons.

Went here yesterday evening and had a really good meal. One of our party was sent discounted vouchers and so we used those. It was busy, but we managed to get somewhere to sit. The meals arrived quickly and were hot. The food was plentiful and tasty. The prices are normally good anyway and there are always good offers. Thursday is Curry Night and is sure to be busy. It is close to Central Park and although it has very limited onsite parking, you can park in the Park and Ride. There are also side streets with spaces too.
