Best supermarket in the city centre! This is especially important for students without a car that do not want to search desperately for organic food or a wider range of vegetables. If you get offers it is also very cheap there. I like it also better than the Tesco Metro in the city centre which is much more dirty and smaller. By the way: The address is wrong. The Sainsbury’s is not on Armada Way but in the Armada Shopping Centre on Mayflower Street!

Very convenient supermarket, close to the city centre and great for students since it’s a stone throw away from the campus. Usually busy at all times and you do have to pay and display in the car park. However, this is refunded to you if you spend over £10 in store. Simply hand them the ticket and they will refund the money.

A very convienient location for a supermarket. Car park charges of £1.50 for two hours are refunded if you spend £10 so you can have a wonder round town as well. The stock is quite good although not as wide a variety as the larger sainsbury at Marsh Mills. The staff are friendly and there are enough tills so that the queues are not usually too long. There is a very usefull taxi service which picks up just outside the store but be careful of this when your driving out. Not quite so usefull if you just need to pick up a couple of items on a saturday afternoon however as the car park is usally quite full but there are child and disabled spaces available.

Small, cramped grubby Sainsbury’s. Very much the poor relation of the Marsh Mills Branch. I often think that store chiefs would be better off revamping this as a proper metro store instead of trying to hang on to a much reduced traditional supermarket-although that would deny local non-car owners more choice. The store is perched at the top of the Armada shopping centre out on a limb and it shows. Shopping here is always a depressing experience. Parkng is reasonable when it’s not too busy though.

Great to have a supermarket in the city centre, very convenient as I work nearby. Much better stocked than the sainsburys at marsh mills. Does my favourite pâté too — chicken liver — lush!

The Sainsbury’s based in the city centre, called the Armada Centre is brilliant, and this has one main reason. There is a car park there and it is free for people that use sainsburys — they used to have secruity men there but now they seem to of gone. It is also brilliant because if you are an old lady or man and need to get a taxi — they are usually very efficient and there are seats for you while you are waiting for one. I think the overall cost of the food is too pricey, but it does smell nice when you go in and the staff are always friendly.

Good size store for a central location. Stocks clothes, wine and all groceries. Very handy and big enough to do a big shop in.
